Denise Shanklin is one of the most recognized and influential women in financial education as Founder & President of
Money Week USA a leading financial education platform reaching more than 830,000 people from 24 countries in April 2011. Ms. Shanklin is passionate about helping people and families understand, create and protect wealth in a changing economy. She is an advocate for gold and silver ownership as the true store of wealth because of it's intrinsic value.
Ms. Shanklin is a Christian business woman that began her career in foreign currency exchange and gold and silver trading with Deak-Pererra in 1982 after receiving a degree in International Business Relations from the University of St. Thomas, Houston, Texas. Shortly after completing University, Ms. Shanklin studied trade relations in West Africa and spear headed special projects to aid women in developing countries. In 1992, Ms. Shanklin was the first woman awarded the gold medal “Caleb Award” by Australian businessman Peter J. Daniels (pictured above). The award has been given to people throughout the world for achievement. Recipients of the "Caleb Award" have included Nelson Mandela, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Dr. Robert Schuller from the Crystal Cathedral and Dr. Norman Vincent Peale.
Ms. Shanklin is passionate about her faith and helping people and families create and protect wealth through gold and silver ownership. At Shanklin, we uphold the rightful place of gold and silver in disclosure of their full spectrum of traditional uses, and submit that these unique precious metals have unremittingly sustained their appeal and function, as proficiently in AD2011, as they did in AD1009, AD9 or 5009BC. Throughout history, whenever there has been economic, political or social instability within a nation, the ability of gold and silver to repel the attrition of such uncertainties is without parallel. For 7000 years now, since man first walked in the Garden of Eden, gold and silver have established themselves as a sound medium of exchange, a store house of wealth, a true measure of value, a secure protection of heritage, an adornment of beauty and a means of transferring the efforts and rewards of ones labor, from this generation to the next.
Ms. Shanklin is certified in Strategic Management through the Center for Strategic Management at the University of San Diego and has consulted with many global organizations that include The World Bank, The Department of Defense, NASA, BOEING, Microsoft, USAID and hundreds more. Ms. Shanklin has served as a strategic growth consultant to numerous colleges & universities receiving an appointment by the Lumina Foundation to partner on the "Achieving The Dream" project to bolster graduation rates of business school students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Ms. Shanklin participated on the Russell Simmons "Get Your Money Right Tour" in 2007 promoting financial literacy education to thousands of college students.
Ms. Shanklin is a seasoned speaker and conference presenter having addressed audiences for the White House Office of Faith Based and Community Relations, the Department of Treasury, the Federal Reserve Bank and the United Nations. Ms. Shanklin has received numerous awards including the "Pioneers Award" presented by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
